Miami senior Dan Huling finished his career in style earlier tonight, finishing sixth in the 5000m at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships in Sacramento. His official time of 14:20.38 was just under nine seconds off the pace set by the winner, Chris Solinsky of Wisconsin. This caps a fantastic Miami career for Huling, who earlier this season posted one of the nation’s fasted times in the 3000m steeplechase but opted to run the 5000m, as he had an at-large bid to the regional meet for it. We here at MHT would like to extend him congratulations for his excellent performance and thanks for his four years of being an example of everything that’s good about Miami athletics.
