      <description>Laura Neufarth led the way for the RedHawks at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet on Satuday (Nov. 10th) in Bloomington, IN.&amp;nbsp; Finishing 5th overall with a time of 20:55, Neufarth lead Miami to an 8th place finish (284 points).&amp;nbsp; Michigan State (60) and Michigan (63) grabbed the top two team spots.&amp;nbsp; Mid-American Conference mates Akron (263) and Ball State (285) took 7th and 9th place, respectively, while MAC champion Ohio U. (286) finished 10th.&amp;nbsp; The individual champion was Nicole Edwards of Michigan, who finished with a time of 20:30.Also scoring for Miami were Jennie Stoll (47th, 22:16), Kelsey McHugh (64th, 22:44), Rebekah Hollander&amp;nbsp;(77th, 22:59), and Mia Fiegelist (91st, 23:07).At-large bids (for teams and individuals) to the NCAA Championship meet will be announced on Monday (Nov. 12th).       <description>Junior Jennie Stoll lead the Miami women&apos;s cross-country team to an 8th place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, IN on Friday (Sept. 29).&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Stoll finished 23rd overall with a time of 18:44 on the&amp;nbsp;5K course.&amp;nbsp; Miami tallied&amp;nbsp;192 team points in the 24-team field.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Indiana State won the team competition with 123 points.&amp;nbsp; Rounding out the scoring five for the RedHawks were&amp;nbsp;junior Mia Fiegelist (33rd place overall, 18:50),&amp;nbsp;freshman Kelsey McHugh (38th, 18:53),&amp;nbsp;sophomore Erin McGowan (50th, 19:04),&amp;nbsp;and junior Sarah Henize (53rd, 19:06).&amp;nbsp;Next up for Miami is&amp;nbsp;the All-Ohio Championship Oct. 6 in Delaware, Ohio.</description>

      <description>It was a successful weekend for the men&amp;#8217;s and women&amp;#8217;s track and field teams, as both put on strong showings in their respective competitions.

At the Charlotte Invitational, Sarah Heinze won the 1,500 in a time of 4:35.10, while Lashonda Davis once again showed her excellence in the long jump, finishing first with a leap of 20&amp;#8217; 4.5&amp;#8221; (well past the regional qualifying standard of 19&amp;#8217; 7&quot;). Kristina Bolterstein, who finished second in the high jump at 5&amp;#8217; 8.75&amp;#8221;, also qualified for regionals, hitting the standard exactly. Miami posted eight top-ten finishes in the track events. In addition to Heinze&amp;#8217;s victory, she finished seventh in the 800, Jennie Stoll finished fifth in the 1,500 and eighth in the 800, Davis was seventh in the 100, Betsy Allen eighth in the 400, and Alexis Lape sixth in the 100 hurdles and tenth in the 400 hurdles. Field results were similarly successful. In addition to Davis and Bolterstein, Katelyn Kelly finished seventh in the high jump, Erin Frazer eighth in the pole vault, and Doreen Nagawa seventh in the triple jump, while Lindsey Arundel finished fifth in the shot, Quekan Ibidunni fifth in the discus, Teresa Bis eighth in the hammer, and Rachel Buchenroth tenth in the javelin.

On the men&amp;#8217;s side, it was a successful weekend as well, as the team finished fourth at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational in Cincinnati. Dan Huling won the 1,500 in 3:56.81 and Pat Sovacool the 5,000 in 14:52.87 to lead the RedHawks. There were twelve other top-five finishes for Miami, with Steve Schilling fifth in the 800, Chris Swisher second in the 1,500, Justin Campbell fourth in the 3,000 steeplechase, a fourth in the 4x100, a third in the 4x400, Tom Hermann fourth in the high jump, Ceith Creekmur fifth in the high jump, Chris Skaggs second in the pole vault, Ryan Phillips third in the long jump, Dan Beach fourth in the discus, and Kyle Kraus third in the javelin. 

Both the women and the men compete at home next weekend in the Miami Invitational.

      <description>The RedHawks went to Delaware looking for their second team title in three years, but that wasn&apos;t in the cards on Friday.  The women&apos;s XC team finished in fifth place at the All-Ohio meet, beating out MAC foes Kent State and Ohio, but well behind the champion Akron squad.  For the fourth consecutive race, Jennie Stoll was Miami&apos;s top finisher, coming in fifth with a time of 18:28.

      <title>Stoll leads Miami to Cedarville Invite title</title>

      <description>For the second year in a row, the women&apos;s cross-country team rode the back of sophomore Jennie Stoll to victory at the Cedarville/Friendship Invitational.  Finishing the race in 18:07, Stoll captured the individual title, coming in just one second ahead of Cedarville&apos;s Samantha Maat.  Sophomores Sarah Heinze and Carol Eckerly and senior Kristen Proach all finished in the top ten for Miami as well.  Thanks to their strong finishes, Miami edged out Ohio State for the team title, winning by a score of 45 to 47.  The win at Cedarville was the RedHawks&apos; first team title of the year.
The team next competes at the Notre Dame Invitational on Sept. 30.
