Zach McCormick will a very, very good player for Wilmington. He should be starting on the varsity team next year. This kid flat out has game and a very good basketball IQ to go with it. His rated as one top 150 players in 8th grader. I had the pleasure of coaching him last season during the summer.
Great kid and I look for big things from him in the future.Coach Cook

Yes I coached Zach last summer. He will play college ball.
Zach McCormick, 6’2” guard; Wilimngton, OH – class of 2014
By most reports, freshman guard Zack McCormick is a player to watch in southern Ohio. The 6’2” guard should have an impactful year at WIlimington HS, and he displayed that at the camp. He missed the morning stations due to a previously scheduled appointment, but he was a pleasant surprise during game play. McCormick’s best features were his ball handling and outside shot. He displayed deep, 3pt-plus range and the ability to get the rim.

McCormick’s performance for the day is noted above. With his range and ball handling, a lot of his development will come in handling defenders, which will be older, quicker and mostly stronger until he becomes an upper classman. He doesn’t look like he will grow much more, so the more he can handle and make his teammates better, the higher up the college ladder he’ll be able to climb. Any more, that doesn’t have to mean he’s a pure point guard, but according to his high school coach, Mike Noszka, he’ll be used in a lot of ways as he progresses through their system.
