2010 Prospect: Griffin McKenzie is ranked by Prep Spotlight as the #2 PF in Ohio behind Dayton Jefferson's Adriean Payne. He plays up a year in AAU ball with All-Ohio Force along with Miami targets Bill Edwards and Allen Roberts. He is not a traditional power forward. He can score from anywhere. Played varsity as a sophomore last year for USA Today's #8 ranked team Moeller. Story by Brian Snow of Xavier's Rivals site on McKenzie: McKenzie Reacts to visits. $cout Profile; Rival$ Profile

Evaluation
April, 2009: Griffin is a very effective high post player that can play both center or power forward at the next level. He is a very good face up shooter all the way to 20 feet. He is an effective passer from the high post and would be very good in a motion offense. Griffin is a decent rebounder but needs to increase his strength and assertiveness to be more effective. He can get pushed out of position or he will simply stand and watch and not fight for rebounding position. Defensively he has a good grasp of defensive principles he, again, needs to get stronger and be more assertive. Offense is definitely a great catch and shoot scorer. That is his strong suit but he needs to stay in attack mode in order to reach his potential.
