Breaking News: Horne Leaves Bobcats
- Ohio freshman Marquis Horne has left the team and will not return for what ‘Cats coach John Groce termed “personal reasons” after the 101-72 win over Ohio Valley Friday night. Groce, who put forth few details in his post-game press conference, said Horne left the program earlier this week but is still enrolled at Ohio University.
- Groce said he is unclear if Horne will play basketball again at the collegiate level. The Cincinnati native out of Princeton H.S. played 24 minutes in Ohio’s exhibition win over Ashland a week ago, recording 2 points and 6 rebounds. In the ‘Cats first exhibition, Horne started and reached double digits (13 points, 4 rebounds in 27 minutes).
