Class of 2009 Lake Forest High School basketball star Matt Vogrich of Full Package Athletics has enhanced his recruited stock greatly with his strong play on the basketball court over the course of the past few months. Vogrich ranks as one of the top 2009 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois. Vogrich, a 6-3 shooting guard, is known for his ability to shoot the basketball with both range and accuracy. *** Vogrich is a fast-rising prospect who you will hear a lot about over the course of the next couple of years. From the Chicago Sun Times Blog "Hoops Report" (10/21/07):
Now Lake Forest junior Matt Vogrich, who doesn't exactly look the part of a Division I 2-guard, is a wanted man and heads the list of soon-to-be breakout juniors in Illinois this winter.Vogrich, who was recently offered a scholarship by coach Rick Majerus and Saint Louis, can easily get lost in theshuffle in the guard-heavy class of 2009 that features as many as eight or nine high-major Division I guards. The 6-3, 175-pound shooting specialist is probably right now the most overlooked junior in Illinois. In addition to the offer from SLU, Dayton, Wisconsin, Northwestern, St. Joseph and Davidson have all shown different variations of interest.Matt Vogrich has been ranked as the best shooter in the Illinois class of 2009 per Daniel Poneman.***Rival$ Profile and $cout Profile.

B10, ACC and Ivy league schools also interested. Sounds like he’s grown to 6’4”.
NOTE: Don’t expect Matt to make it to Miami’s Elite camp but do expect him to visit campus this summer.
