About Miami Hawk Talk Recruiting Information

The recruiting information contained on this site is information about student/athletes BELIEVED to be targeted by Miami University for various varsity athletic sports. The lists are far from complete and are not officially endorsed in any way by Miami University, its coaches or administration.

These pages will be updated as information is made available. Information may not be complete or timely and is compiled by newspaper articles, internet recruiting sites, and, of course, by Miami Hawk Talk Field Reporters. Players may "verbally" commit to a program, however, such committment is not binding until officially executing a "National Letter of Intent" (NLI).

Miami coaches and or its staff are not permitted to discuss or comment on potential recruits until after the signing of a NLI. The signing period for fall sports such as football begins in early February and runs until early April; basketball and other winter sports have an early signing perdiod in mid-November and a late signing period from April to May.

2009 PROSPECT: Plays AAU for the Illinois Wolves (the same team that gave Miami Dwight McCombs).  Krutwig measures in at 6-6 ½ and weighs 210 lbs. making him a physical presence in the post. Krutwig has had some big time performances this summer playing with Mike Mullins' 16u Illinois Wolves, and is expected to have a breakout season this year for Jacobs.  Krutwig has a big body, but he is great at running the floor and has the skills to play on the perimeter, though he usually plays in the post for his AAU and high school teams. UNOFFICIAL VISIT: Yes (9/29/07) Rival$ Profile

From Chicago Sun Times City/Suburban Hoops Report (05/04/08): Offers will be coming their way:

Krutwig plays so hard, runs the floor and has shown he’s a much better athlete than given credit for. He already has a nice face-up, mid-range game but will also mix it up inside, get rebounds in traffic. The knock has always been he’s a ‘tweener at 6-5. But he has shown an ability to really run the floor and finish the break with a dunk. You win with players like Krutwig and the intangibles he brings. His overall foot speed on the perimeter is still a concern and he’s still undersized for a four-man. But his strong all-around skills, combined with a nice shooting touch that does need to gain consistency outside 16 feet, make him a viable combo forward.
