ESPN.com Insider Profile - Player Rating of 69 and evaluation:
Walls is a massive pocket passer with outstanding size and adequate arm strength. He is your classic dropback passer that has the height to survey the field and work through his progressions. He is a tough guy, and is not afraid to sit in the pocket and take a hit. His overall techniques are fairly solid, although at times, he appears to have a slow release. He will hold onto the ball too long while trying to identify coverages, and as a result, he takes some unnecessary hits. While he has decent overall pocket movement, he is not really a scrambler, and doesn?t come across as a great athlete. His accuracy is adequate and he can be very effective when protected. Is best in the short-to-intermediate passing game and when he gets set and delivers the ball on time. For all his size and sturdy frame, he does not possess the cannon arm you would expect to see. Lacks ball control and the ball does not always pop off his hand with great velocity. Deep ball tends to wobble and hang on him. Walls is a talent that needs to continue to develop and grow. He is a little rough around the edges, but he does flash the ability to be a quality player.

JJ Huddle 6.21.07 “Waverly QB Walls Ohio’s Best Kept Secret
“They (college coaches) are all impressed with what he does on the football field. You can see his arm strength and you can see his touch. He can get the ball in between people, he can get it through people and he can get it over them and still has the same accuracy. Whether it is a gun-throw or a touch-throw, he has the ability to lay the ball over for the flare pass, get the out (pass) with no problem and he can stand up and hit the seam with touch or with gun. He has the same accuracy in each one of the balls that he throws. That is pretty special when you look at a kid that can make all those throws and he doesn’t take anything off and the ball is still accurate when he puts it there.-Waverly head coach Rusty Wright
Walls camped at Indiana earlier this week and has also been to Miami (Oh.), Bowling Green and Ohio. He is set to participate at the Ohio State senior camp this weekend as well and will visit Purdue is summer. Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Louisville and all the Ivy League schools have also taken an interest.
