2008 PROSPECT: Hayes is a quick point guard who runs with the Queen City Prophets AAU team. Hayes can play the 2 but is better suited at the point. Needs to improve his defense. Lonnie is not at MCI but is playing at Harmony in Cincinnati. Rival$ 3.3.08 “Best of the Rest Point Guards" discusses Lonnie as a “sleeper” and the schools that are currently interested. USA Today has the same article and notes that Lonnie is being courted by Virginia Tech and Bowling Green.
ESPN’s Scout’s Inc. doesn’t have an evaluation but indicates that Lonnie is receiving interest from Tennessee, UK, Miami of Florida, Virginia Tech and Oklahoma.
Lonnie scored 27 in a quarterfinal loss to Findlay Prep in the National Prep Championship on March 27, 2008
