About Miami Hawk Talk Recruiting Information

The recruiting information contained on this site is information about student/athletes BELIEVED to be targeted by Miami University for various varsity athletic sports. The lists are far from complete and are not officially endorsed in any way by Miami University, its coaches or administration.

These pages will be updated as information is made available. Information may not be complete or timely and is compiled by newspaper articles, internet recruiting sites, and, of course, by Miami Hawk Talk Field Reporters. Players may "verbally" commit to a program, however, such committment is not binding until officially executing a "National Letter of Intent" (NLI).

Miami coaches and or its staff are not permitted to discuss or comment on potential recruits until after the signing of a NLI. The signing period for fall sports such as football begins in early February and runs until early April; basketball and other winter sports have an early signing perdiod in mid-November and a late signing period from April to May.

2007 TARGET Andrew plays AAU for the D1 Grayhounds.  He is receiving a heavy amount of interest from Alcorn St, Oregon State and Miami. TC Howe Academy head coach Aaron Sembly says:

"Those are the three main schools recruiting Andrew at this time. He has a scholarship offer on the table from Alcorn St.
Wright State, Marshall, Marquette, Western Michigan and Kent State are sending a heavy amount of mail to Andrew. He has also taken several unofficial visits to Miami-Ohio. He is going to make a decision on a school this summer and then sign early.  This season, Andrew was averaging 15-points, 12 rebounds and three blocks per game before he was sidelined with appendicitis.

Final Junior averages are 15-points, 10 rebounds and four blocks per game. (Andrew had his appendix removed during the first weekend in February, so in his first game back, he played just 10 minutes).

Andrew will play AAU this summer for either Cleveland Basketball Club, SYS or Indy Heat.

Because of lack of playing time at CBC, Andrew may switch AAU teams.  Nevertheless, coaches from Indiana State, Miami, Indiana, Western Carolina, Wofford and IUPUI continue to stay in contact with Joslin.
