The recruiting information contained on this site is information about student/athletes BELIEVED to be targeted by Miami University for various varsity athletic sports. The lists are far from complete and are not officially endorsed in any way by Miami University, its coaches or administration.

These pages will be updated as information is made available. Information may not be complete or timely and is compiled by newspaper articles, internet recruiting sites, and, of course, by Miami Hawk Talk Field Reporters. Players may "verbally" commit to a program, however, such committment is not binding until officially executing a "National Letter of Intent" (NLI).

Miami coaches and or its staff are not permitted to discuss or comment on potential recruits until after the signing of a NLI. The signing period for fall sports such as football begins in early February and runs until early April; basketball and other winter sports have an early signing perdiod in mid-November and a late signing period from April to May.

2007 PROSPECT: Originally classified in the class of 2007, Brandon needed time to qualify and has thus been re-classified to the class of 2007.  He’s fully qualified now and will appear in Oxford in Januray.  Brandon is considered one of the best, and more unheralded, cover corners in the state of Ohio. Also, an effective returner who has taken both a punt and kick back for a touchdown last fall. Brandon was part of the Tedd Ginn Sr 12-day bustrip the summer of 2006 (10 schools in 12 days) and came away with an early offer from Iowa and Pitt Although Brandon can play both WR and CB, it appears his college days will be spent in the defensive backfield.  Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan State, and Purdue have been his suitors in the Big10 with Miami and Kent his suitors in the MAC. Back in September of 2006, Brandon had a final 4 of Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan State and Miami. In late 2005, early 2006, Ohio State really picked things up and Brandon with Coach Tressell visiting Brandon at his H.S.  Brandon was scheduled to make an official visit to Columbus but was not qualified and the visit never happened.  Brandon was scheduled for an official visit with Miami (1.20.06) as well.

Also a standout on the Strongsville track team, he has run a 10.8 in the 100-meter dash and he jumped 21-feet in the long jump.

Ohio State HC Jim Tressell recently watched Brandon play basketball and has asked to see an official test score to set up an official visit.

Brandon commited to Miami during his official visit.  Many thought Brandon would wait to hear from Ohio State but he said that Miami is a good choice for him.  Welcome aboard Brandon.

Brandon is fully qualified and will join Miami in January 2007!
