The recruiting information contained on this site is information about student/athletes BELIEVED to be targeted by Miami University for various varsity athletic sports. The lists are far from complete and are not officially endorsed in any way by Miami University, its coaches or administration.

These pages will be updated as information is made available. Information may not be complete or timely and is compiled by newspaper articles, internet recruiting sites, and, of course, by Miami Hawk Talk Field Reporters. Players may "verbally" commit to a program, however, such committment is not binding until officially executing a "National Letter of Intent" (NLI).

Miami coaches and or its staff are not permitted to discuss or comment on potential recruits until after the signing of a NLI. The signing period for fall sports such as football begins in early February and runs until early April; basketball and other winter sports have an early signing perdiod in mid-November and a late signing period from April to May.

All-State, All-Northwest District Dream Team and All-Conference as a junior.  Ohio High rated him #45 in the state.

James has impressed Miami enough to be extended a scholarship offer.  Ball State has also offered and James is receiving interest from Indiana, Cincinnati, MSU, Ohio State, WV and BG.

As a junior, Allison registered 130 tackles, 14 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and he recovered a fumble for a touchdown. He was named second team All-State, first team All-Conference, and All-Northwest Ohio.  MSU and WV are close to offering.  Ohio State remains involved.

Allison is hearing from MSU on a weekly basis however, no offer has been forthcoming.  Lack of ACT results may be a reason.  Offers from Miami and Ball State.  Cincinnati is also interested.

Scout.com has upgraded James to a 3-star prospect and is considered the #10 LB in the Midwest.

James took his 1st official visit to Ball State last weekend.  He’d like to visit MSU and WV as well.  However, neither MSU nor WV will offer until James gets qualified.  He says he’s close.
