About Miami Hawk Talk Recruiting Information

The recruiting information contained on this site is information about student/athletes BELIEVED to be targeted by Miami University for various varsity athletic sports. The lists are far from complete and are not officially endorsed in any way by Miami University, its coaches or administration.

These pages will be updated as information is made available. Information may not be complete or timely and is compiled by newspaper articles, internet recruiting sites, and, of course, by Miami Hawk Talk Field Reporters. Players may "verbally" commit to a program, however, such committment is not binding until officially executing a "National Letter of Intent" (NLI).

Miami coaches and or its staff are not permitted to discuss or comment on potential recruits until after the signing of a NLI. The signing period for fall sports such as football begins in early February and runs until early April; basketball and other winter sports have an early signing perdiod in mid-November and a late signing period from April to May.

2007 PROSPECT: Only a JR, he ran a 4.31-40 at Miami’s camp earlier this year. Has a 3.7 GPA and 21 ACT. Miami and Purdue have already offered this very talented underclassman. Expect these to be the first of many more. UPDATE 7.5.05: Here is what Donnie said about how he felt about the Purdue and Miami offers: "I wasn’t expecting it. It completely took me by surprise. That felt good to get an offer from a school like Purdue. I also like Miami. They’re both good schools.” As to who he is interested in: “Anyone who’s interested,” he said. “Any school that shows interest in me, I’m interested in them. I don’t care how big or small.” Tennessee is also showing interest in Donnie.

’07 prospect Donnie Evege just landed an Ohio State offer.  Although many would think that Donnie would jump at the Buckeye offer, he indicates that although he’s very excited that Ohio State offered he still plans to attend Junior Day at Notre Dame on January 14th. He remains interested in Miami, Purdue, Tennessee, and a few other schools.

Donnie will play only offense next season.  Coach Minton says Donnie runs a legit 4.3-40!  Currently Donnie is 5’11” 195 but should play aroun 200lbs next season.  In college Donnie could play either RB or be a lock-down cover corner.
