Jeter has been a starter since his freshman year and already has 1,000 career points.  The kid called “Sweet Jete” is one of the leading scorers in the WPIAL with a 28.4 average.  Jeter’s natural position might be shooting guard. But he plays point guard for Beaver Falls.  “The main improvement I’ve seen in him this year is he’s letting the game come to him,” Beaver Falls coach Doug Biega said. “He’s doing whatever we need. When we needed a scoring boost against an exceptionally talented team like Quaker Valley, he scored 45. Against New Brighton, we wanted to get everyone involved, so he had only 14.” Jeter said, “I’ll do whatever this team needs. But this team seems more comfortable with me playing point.” A clutch performer who led the Tigers to WPIAL and PIAA Class AA crowns. ... Averaged 21.6 points, and is on pace to become WPIAL’s 21st 2,000-point scorer. ... Has a scholarship offer from Duquesne, and is receiving interest from Miami, Kent and West Virginia.  Ranked the #2 SG in PA.  Jeter was quite a long-distance operator in the playoffs, hitting 3-pointers to defeat Aliquippa in the WPIAL Class AA final and to spark the comeback vs. York Catholic in the PIAA title game. And his two late free throws did in the Quips in the state semifinals. Yet, even though he averaged 20.4 points and reached double figures in 30 of 32 games, Jeter was more than a scorer. He also made the PG daily Fabulous Five and Associated Press first-team all-state, and became a three-time All-Section 6 performer. With 1,617 career points, he has a great shot at 2,000.
