The recruiting information contained on this site is information about student/athletes BELIEVED to be targeted by Miami University for various varsity athletic sports. The lists are far from complete and are not officially endorsed in any way by Miami University, its coaches or administration.

Information may not be complete or timely and is compiled by newspaper articles, internet recruiting sites, and, of course, by Miami Hawk Talk Field Reporters. Players may "verbally" commit to a program, however, such committment is not binding until officially executing a "National Letter of Intent" (NLI).
Miami coaches and or its staff are not permitted to discuss or comment on potential recruits until after the signing of a NLI. The signing period for fall sports such as football begins in early February and runs until early April; basketball and other winter sports have an early signing perdiod in mid-November and a late signing period from April to May.

2011 PROSPECT: Averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds as a junior last year in a competitive basketball conference.

One of the better finds of the day, Cooper is a good looking 6-foot-8 big man who can run the floor, is active on the glass and has soft hands. A fine athlete with broad shoulders, he's already got lean strength and a body to work with. He stepped out and hit a nice looking 17 foot jumper in a pick and pop situation as well. He looks to be at least an upper mid major level prospect and could likely get even higher looks in a 2011 class that is thin with big men.
