Soccer 'Hawks adjust to absence of great senior class
One of the challenges for Miami soccer this spring is creating a new identity now that the senior class that took the RedHawks to three straight NCAA tournaments, reaching the second round twice.
Results in the first half of the spring schedule indicate the team is well on its way to making the transition.
Junior-to-be Ashley Swinehart will likely emerge as the leader on offense. She assisted on rising sophomore Katie Ng’s game-winner against Arkansas and scored the game-tieing goal against UAB.
Leigh Terry, who will be a sophomore next year, has been solid in goal, posting a shutout against Arkansas.
RedHawk fans can see the team in action at home on April 12 and April 16.
