Senior Day a Blast
Minutes after being honored on Senior Day, Angie Gerber hit her 16th career home run, tieing her for second on Miami’s all-time list. The three run shot provided more than enough support for pitcher Jackie Poggendorf, who posted an 8-0 shutout of Toledo for the RedHawks’ 8th straight win.
Gerber followed her homer with a two run double in the 4th inning to move her into second place on the career RBI list.
