Cross Country Updates
The cross-country teams are getting ready for the MAC Championships after a challenging fall season. As the teams prepare to visit DeKalb at the end of the October, allow us to get you caught up on their accomplishments so far this season. Click the headline for a full report.
Men's Cross Country
Chris Swisher has been leading the Miami men's cross country team all season, earning two MAC runner of the week honors so far this season, finishing first for the RedHawks for the past four races, and finishing 21st overall at the Pre-National meet on Oct. 15. He has also won two individual titles -- the Flyer 5K classic and the Miami Invitational.
As a team, the men have faced stiff competition, facing 14 nationally ranked teams at the Pre-National meet in Terre Haute, Ind., and 12 nationally ranked teams at the 25-team Notre Dame invitational. In both cases, Miami out-ran the Ohio Bobcats and the UC Bearcats.
Miami next races at the MAC championships in DeKalb, Ill., on October 29.

Women's Cross Country
The women's team has had an eventful season, beating Ohio State for the Cedarville Invitational title, and coming in fifth in the all-Ohio Championships. The women have been paced by Sophomore Jennie Stoll, who has been Miami's top finisher in four consecutive races. The women placed 24th out of 33 teams at the Pre-National Meet in Terre Haute last weekend, and will now prepare for the MAC Championships in DeKalb, Ill. on October 29.
