Another Miami MAC Championship!

The baseball team swept three games from the Kent State Golden Flashes this weekend to claim the regular season MAC Championship and the right to host the 2005 MAC Baseball Tournament at McKie Field later this week.

The RedHawks needed to sweep all three games in order to pass Enormous Ball State in the overall conference standings and claim their first regular-season crown since 1983, but they did it with authority on Sunday with a 10-1 series finale against the Flashes. As usual, all the details can be found at MURedHawks.com

Miami finishes the regular season with a 17-4 MAC record and a 39-15 overall record, and will play #6 seed Akron on Wednesday at 1 p.m. The tournament is double elimination and lasts through Sunday.
