Lead by Sovacool Miami takes 2nd at MAC Meet
The Miami men's cross-country team turned in an excellent performance to take second place at the MAC Championship meet on Saturday (Oct. 27th) in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The RedHawks finished with 50 points just 19 points behind team champion Eastern Michigan, while Central Michigan took 3rd (98 points) and Ohio U. took 4th (116 points). Akron, Kent, Buffalo, Bowling Green, and Toledo rounded out the team scoring. Josh Perrin of Eastern Michigan was the individual champion covering the 8K course in 24:33.
Miami was lead by Pat Sovacool, who finished 4th overall with a time of 25:05. Also scoring for the RedHawks were Michael Veatch (7th overall, 25:14), Brad Untrauer (8th place, 25:16), Kevin Silver (15th, 25:31), and Michael Perry (16th, 25:33).
