Men's CC finishes fourth at MACC meet
The Miami men's cross-country team finished in fourth place at the MAC Championship meet in cold and rainy Buffalo, New York on Saturday (Oct. 28). Miami finished with 144 team points. Eastern Michigan (23 team points) took home the team title, as it placed five runners in the meet's top 10. Central Michigan (64) and Kent State (72) finished second and third.
Miami was lead by sophomore Pat Sovacool, who took 26th place overall covering the muddy 8K course in 28:52. Others in Miami's top scoring five were; freshman Paul Krebs (27th, 28:53), redshirt freshman Kevin Silver (30th, 29:03), junior Justin Campbell (35th, 29:26), and junior Michael Veatch (36th, 29:29).
Corey Nowitzke of Eastern Michigan was the overall individual winner with a time of 26:52.
