IceHawks get three points on the weekend

#2 Miami remained in the friendly confines of the Goggin last weekend for a pair of out-of-conference games against ECACHL foes St. Lawrence (then ranked #14) and #15 Clarkson. After tying the Saints 1-1 on Friday and beating the Knights 2-1 on Saturday, the RedHawks remained at #2 in the major polls, but #1 Wisconsin's shocking loss to Michigan Tech sent a number of first-place votes from Madison to Oxford. Goaltending and defense were the big stories this weekend, with Charlie Effinger and Jeff Zatkoff both giving up only a goal apiece and continuing to show why they're the best goalie duo in the nation.
