Nonconference scheduled announced
Maria has announced the 2003-04 nonconference schedule and it reflects her philosophy of challenging her players.
In addition to the Preseason WNIT opener with Michigan, the schedule is dotted with teams from the “major” conferences such as Virginia Tech, Missouri and Kentucky. There also games with teams from Conference USA, West Coast and Missouri Valley, all of which were in the top 12 in RPI. Excluding possible WNIT matchups, six of the RedHawks’ opponents played in postseason tournaments last year.
