Picking up where he left off last year when he was the MAC Diver of the Year as a freshman, our new Hawk of the Week is sophomore diver Chris Heaton.  Chris and the Miami men’s swimming and diving team opened its 2006-07 season with a dual meet victory over Ball State.  At this meet, Chris reset his own school record while winning the 3 meter dive, and he also had the high score at the meet in the 1 meter dive.  Chris followed this performance with another record setting performance the next day against Western Kentucky as he reset the 3 meter dive school record once again while winning this event.  In addition, Chris also won the 1 meter dive.

In addition to being the MAC Diver of the Year last year, Chirs - an exercise science major from Centerville - was also named to the All-MAC First Team and was the MAC champion in the 1 and 3 Meter Dives.  Chris was one of three Miami divers to qualify for the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships.
