There's also the Dismal Swamp fire. Virginia has had a rough end of summer. _________________ Franchising accounts for 15.3% of the jobs in the U.S. private sector. (Source: Economic Impact of Franchised Businesses)

While Pittsburgh won't get hit, I have to drive to Wilkes-Barre (north-eastern PA) on Sunday afternoon to cover a motion Monday morning. They are right on the edge of the current projected path.
Really looking forward to driving on I-80 with torrential rain and 50 mph winds... _________________ Most Livable City... |

I've got extra food, medical supplies, batteries, and a generator with gasoline that I've set up in my bomb shelter turned hurricane relief center in case any of those winds make it to ohio and turn vicious and pull a hurricane ike on us. Oh wait that's my insane next door neighbor _________________ Scalp the S$!t out of that song, bring back signs, make it fun. Redskins Forever!!!! Bagel and Deli!!! Ron Tammen Lives!!!! |

Been without power for 3+ hours. Cooked spaghetti on the grill and played hide and seek with stir crazy 4 year old. Weather-wise, I've seen worse (been through at least 2 eyes before this one). _________________ Franchising accounts for 15.3% of the jobs in the U.S. private sector. I survived with friends in my apartment with only the necessities: junk food, bad tv, and lots and lots of alcohol. also supplemented our entertainment by taking a trip out to visit the East River last night. It was glorious. _________________ Love and Honor. |

The only things I witnessed: decent (at best) wind gusts and light rain. I feel gypped. _________________ "We will shoot for perfection... but nobody's perfect. But we'll shoot for perfection and we'll settle for excellence."

If you weren't on a shore, you weren't likely to be affected a lot.
Lot of flooding in Philly and South Jersey. Loss of electricity. 20 fatalities from Irene; that seems like a pretty big impact to me. |

OU got a bumper crop one year (84 or 85) right after they laid down new redwood/red pine mulch all around the campus and they got hit with warm rains and winds for a few days.
Kids were out there w/photocopied pamphlets to ID mushrooms of this type and garbage bags...before local PD could do anything about it or the U...
School was mighty redfaced when that hit the newswire I'm sure. _________________ ESPN is to the BCS what FOX News is to the Republican party. My parents in north jersey said that the back side of the storm was much more damaging than when it was approaching. The winds were more severe after the center had moved into CT and point north. _________________ "I believe in the love that you gave me
