I felt the quake here at work near Lunken Airport, Cincinnati. I felt like I was moving in my office chair and I noticed my RedHawks hat swaying on the hook next to the wall. _________________ Love and honor to Miami,

If these happen with some frequency, it probably explains why the foundation of the house I lived in 2L year leaked like a sieve every time it rained.
At any rate, people who took the California bar exam in July of 2008 were in one bigger than this -- and they were told to keep writing and weren't allowed to leave the room. _________________ "Psycho was low on talent. | My first earthquake. Felt it in south Jersey. Lasted almost a minute...the first 30 seconds, I wasn't sure if it was just me. lol Felt a little bit like stumbling down the sidewalk drunk from Steinkeller's...'cept it is the building moving, not me. |

one of the better quotes:
| Quote: | | CNBC just showed dramatic footage of the NYSE floor, where they made an announcement about the quake, saying there’s a risk of aftershocks. The six human beings still working on the floor looked concerned. |
does that say more about the earthquake, the role of technology in our lives, or the state of the market.... _________________ grinding the 53x11 |

I felt a pretty good jolt in downtown Pittsburgh. I did not realize what it was at first. I am in an old building that is built like a fortress and only 9 floors up, so it wasn't major. My old office was 31 stories high in a newer building. I'm sure that place was rocking.
I "evacuated" to Starbucks. _________________ Most Livable City... |

I was talking to my daughter in DC (she's at the State Dept and I am in Kalamazoo, MI) when she suddenly said something was going on and that they were having an earthquake. She said she had to go. CNN broke in to Libya coverage about two minutes later. I called her back and she told me they had had a quake (her first) and had to go to check up on her 1 year old at day care in N. Virginia. Strange speaking to someone who suddenly feels a quake. On 9/11 I called her in DC and had a series of calls checking on her and my younger daughter who was also in DC for a semester work/study program thru Mich State.
I'm not really concerned because of magnitude but another moment when one remembers what they were doing when an unusual event occured.
I was actually calling her about the impending hurricane moving up the coast. Strange day.
