Mark is a great player and I would love to see him in the class with Keely, Edwards for the frontcourt. _________________ "The Blues had a baby and they named it Rock and Roll!!"

Personally I would like to see us land Anderson as his experience would be a nice blend with the younger players we will be bringing in and he can play right away, hopefully at one of the post positions. _________________ "The Blues had a baby and they named it Rock and Roll!!"

=>Notice the preview:
| Quote: | | Mark Anderson comes from a strong basketball lineage. His cousin, Carl Edwards, currently plays professionally overseas. The 6’8, 215 pound forward from Dayton, Ohio is also the nephew of Roth High School and Kentucky/USC player Dwight Anderson. Uncle Dwight was Dayton’s first McDonalds All-American. And now, Mark Anderson is the next family member to earn All-American honors. |
Anderson as a frosh last year for Sinclair C.C. was 2nd team All-American, conference POTY, led the nation in scoring, and led his conference in rebounding. _________________ @dandakich "Yo Minnesota ..old school IU fans didn't think a state of the art practice facility was necessary either..old school means old results"

=>"Mr. An-der-son"
Is this the person called in legend, "The One?"
(Of course, Bramos is the "Chosen One," but that is a different title altogether) _________________ @dandakich "Yo Minnesota ..old school IU fans didn't think a state of the art practice facility was necessary either..old school means old results"

| hmm, dont know where my post went earlier about academics...but i'm very glad we landed mark, my only hope is that academics at miami are not going to be his enemy. miami is a tough school, and i know mark had academic problems as many schools were waiting to hear about this past semesters grades before throwing an offer his way or looking at him harder |

Great pickup for Miami. A guy we have been recruiting for sometime and for good reason. Has played the 4 at Sinclair but is really a 3. Very talented player who should be able to contribute right away. I don't know how closely people are paying attention to our recruits the last couple of classes but we are putting together a team that can actually get out and run: Anderson, Winbush, Mccombs, Mavunga, Kelly and that is just the frontcourt! This talent group will be very fun to watch play given the right system and should be great to watch develop.
Welcome aboard Mark!! Glad to have you in the Red and White!! _________________ "The Blues had a baby and they named it Rock and Roll!!"

Very talented player in Anderson! Are we moving towards McGhee or another guard for the last schollie?
Wonder how this affects B Edwards? He's a 3?
Hopefully not AShorts part deux....I doubt it. _________________ ONIONS!

=>Read the story. I had a long talk (45 minutes or so) yesterday with Jeff Price, his JUCO coach. We talked at length about Anderson as a person.
As for Anderson being all about Anderson like Shorts was all about Shorts...
| Quote: | | Price said Anderson is actually better than those numbers suggest. “He is completely unselfish; sometimes too unselfish for me. I mean, he led the nation in scoring and only took 19 shots a game.” One of Price’s goals for Anderson is to get him more involved in the offense. Price said, “Mark hardly ever takes a bad shot. He needs to take more of a leadership role on the scoring end. It is funny to say that given that he led the nation in scoring.” |
