“If he has a good year and continues to develop, he can put himself in a position to be a high round NHL draft pick next summer,” says Darren Hersh, William’s mentor since 2002 and director of the Sterling, Va.-based Goalie Academy. “He could go within the first three rounds and quite possibly as high as the first round. It will be exciting to see where NHL Central Scouting may have him ranked in December. I see him potentially following in the footsteps of other notable USA goalies, such as (Dallas Stars draftee) Jack Campbell, who’s presently well on his way to a pro career.”

Yeah he had some great battles against UNC when he was Duke's point guard. I didn't know he got into hockey after the motorcycle accident though. _________________ RedHawkInsider on Twitter |

Went from splitting time to now only getting 1/3 of the time. 3 straight losses, giving up 17 goals. Granted, his team is pretty bad and they only scored 2 in that time.

saw this quote by him in a Q and A and it is good to know we got some snipers coming in.
Who, has had the hardest shot you’ve ever faced?
Jay: Alex Gacek, his wrist shot is harder the most one timers. Its unbelievable how hard he shoots the puck.
Looks like he will be facing alot more of those wrist shots in practice.

| Funny Rico mentioned the same thing before too. Must just be an adjustment to the U this season and still young (17). The Ice were loaded with forwards and I don't think Mahoning Valley or Youngstown, whatever they wanna be called now, is giving him a role he's suited for. |

Waterloo swept by Indiana, played the first game (hey, that's gotta show some confidence from the coaching staff), a 4-0 loss, but was pulled after 40 minutes.
Season over. |

Is it just me or does that trade seem a bit uneven? _________________ http://velvetblazer.blogspot.com |

208 penalty minutes in the game. Goalie fights rule.
Our guy did get his ass kicked, though... _________________ "I'm a Coyote now, I hate the Red Wings" -- Andy Miele.
