The Ohio AAA Blue Jackets are reporting that Sean will represent the United States at the U-18 Junior World Cup (Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament) this summer! The event takes place in August in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Sean is a '93 and his dad, Rick, also played at Miami.
He led the U18 team in scoring this past season with 78 points (31g-47a) in only 48 games. _________________ http://redskinwarriors.com |

Indiana has exhibition home games on Sept. 18 and 19 in Carmel, Ind.
We're going to head up for the Sunday game to watch Kuraly and Gacek play. _________________ "I'm a Coyote now, I hate the Red Wings" -- Andy Miele.

I think he is coming next year. And yes, that class is loaded! This year's class simply fills a few holes until the seniors graduate and next year's class is on campus! _________________ http://redskinwarriors.com |

| After waiting three weeks to hear how they looked, did you make it to the games this past weekend? |

I made it to yesterday's game (see the Alex Wideman thread for better news).
I think Kuraly (which I got affirmation that his name is pronounced Kur-ALL-ee) is going through a body adjustment phase. Yes, I know it was one game -- and an exhibition on mediocre ice at that -- but he looked slow and uncoordinated.
Obviously this wasn't the case last year and won't be in the future, but it was on Sunday. Palmer told me last year that when he was that age, he hit a two-inch growth spurt and was awkward for a full season, possibly resulting in him not being drafted.
Kuraly looks about Palmer's height and slightly wider (he's listed at 6-2, 193 but he's probably more like 205).
It was a little disappointing, but the effort was definitely there, which is good news.
<NOTE: Mollautt, if you're reading, please skip to the next thread. Nothing to see in the next two grafs except WANTON.>
Kuraly did get in a pretty good fight in the second period. One fight had just happened, and as soon as the puck dropped again, he went at it.
Lost the fight overall but good in some pretty good shots.
Hopefully I'll have a better report when we go for a regular season game this fall. _________________ "I'm a Coyote now, I hate the Red Wings" -- Andy Miele.
