Gacek leading his team by far right now, amazing again with how young he is.
15 games played. 15-15--30.
Thats good enough for the league lead in goals, only 2 points behind the league lead there as well. |

no shocker, still leads his team in goals, assists, and obviously points.
21 games played. 21-21--42. 6 PIM. 8 PPG. 9 PPA. 1 SHG. 3 GWG.
That puts him second in the league in points, 1st in goals, 1st in points/game. |

Wow. He's still maintaing that goal+assist/game ratio. You have to like that stat. _________________ "We will shoot for perfection... but nobody's perfect. But we'll shoot for perfection and we'll settle for excellence."

next game he needs to net 2 goals and 2 assists to keep it up.
23 games played. 22-22--44. 8 PIM. 9 PPG. 10 PPA. 1 SHG. 3 GWG.
leading his team in points by 10, goals by 9. still leads the league in goals, second in points by 5 to a kid that is over 2 years older than him. |

| he didn't sign his NLI this year (wideman, bersch, cook, murphy, mullin), so '11 is the best bet. but you never know, probably will delay wideman for a season so he could get a spot next year. |

Monarchs had a huge layoff, but finally playing some puck again.
30 games played. 25-24--49. 9 PPG. 11 PPA. 1 SHG. 5 GWG.
Again, that is a huge lead on his team in points (next closest with 38 ), huge lead in goals (next closest has 15), he's 1 assist off from leading the team there, most PPGs by 4, second in PPAs to JVRs kid brother, and first in GWGs.
That's fourth in the entire league in points, second in goals, tied for 1st in PPGs, and tied for first in GWGs. And the kids that are ahead of him are 1, 2, and 4 years older than he is. |

Mullin, Berschbach, Murphy, Little Wideman, and Cook signed their NLIs a few months ago. Also getting Tiesling eligible after his transfer year. That doesn't necessarily mean that those exact 5 will be here next year, we could get a late commit come in and step up for someone else on the list. |

I'm figuring Mullin is going to be the only major point producer for the next class, so I hope Rico has got alot of offense coming in for 2011 because we all know what is happening after next year. Its going to be similar to what happened after the 2007-2008 season only worse. Certainly we will see once again do we rebuild or reload?

Who is the word from? And God I hope so, we are going to need some seasoned offense for the debacle after next year. |

Seriously, you think after next year we'll have a "debacle?" I thought we had some pretty good young talent moving up. Mackenzie, Mantha, Reilly Smith, etc.
We've got a lot of freshmen getting quality playing time right now. I think we've reached the "we don't rebuild, we reload" status. At least I hope so. |

Yea I agree with you, we really saw that last season when we lost both Eff and Jeff, then come in with 2 goalies that may be even better and were able to contribute as freshmen. |

I spoke with one of our assistant coaches after devestating loss #1 against Boston (of Massachusetts) College. I was asking him how he thought they would fare the next season (last year) with all the losses to graduation and he said that he honestly thought they would be very good once again. I was a little skeptical but I repeated that story to some people... made me feel like some kind of hockey insider. Well, we know how it turned out.
I have a ton of confidence in this program. I see no debacles in the near future. |

Nobody is exactly sure who is coming in next year, so its kind of hard to do a speculation in regards to our future lineups.
Also, Paulazzo is the only guy who MUST come in next season, he has no junior eligibility left. Everyone else could still play another year. We can make guesses who is coming, but a late commit might through us for a loop again like Mason/Mantha did last season. |

Paulazzo and Cook are going to be good right away, and I liked what I saw from Mantha and Reilly Smith last weekend.
I think Reilly's going to be a stud -- he's just a little inconsistent right now. Playing on the Miele-Palmer line seems to be doing wonders for him. Then again, a fire hydrant could put up points playing with those two.
Yeah, the offense may slip a little after the junior class graduates -- and I think LoVerde is very underrated -- but the team will be fine. I have complete faith in Rico's recruiting. _________________ "I'm a Coyote now, I hate the Red Wings" -- Andy Miele.

Even if the incoming freshmen in 11-12 need a half a season to start burying the puck (which I doubt, given our last few classes being able to step in instantly), we will be able to win even more games strictly through defence. Other than LoVerde, everyone is a sophomore/freshman. That's ridiculous. We'll reload with firepower, but if we are only giving up 1.6 goals a game right now... It might get scary good when they are seniors/juniors. |
