Just heard this on WMUB. Will try to find a link later on. _________________ "Man, if I ever find out who let Northern Illinois and Buffalo into the league, they're in trouble."

Glad to see widespread support for something not associated with Richard T. Farmer. Not that I have a problem with the Business School itself; rather, most of the evidence I've seen here points to the administration wanting to turn Miami into little more than a trade school with some distribution requirements attached. It's great news to know that some folks in the administration realize the importance of offering a diverse range of excellent programs. _________________ "Psycho was low on talent. Chuck, isn't the College still the largest division at the University?
They may not get the flashy naming rights the the RTFSoB did, or the major corporate press release every time they get a donation of some sort, but it was my impression that the College still has a LOT of pull on the philosophy of education at the University...hence the Miami Plan. And as much as "professional school" majors may kvetch about it, I think the Miami Plan is one of the true assets to the University and a service to the students. |

You will note that, by and large, the "trade school" faculty does not kvetch much about the Miami Plan. A good liberal arts foundation for everyone is one of our strongest selling points as against our competitors.
Besides, everyone knows that Miami is a Latin school with a B-school grafted on the side. _________________ "Man, if I ever find out who let Northern Illinois and Buffalo into the league, they're in trouble."
