I was told by one AAU coach (not his) that he is arguably the best PG in Ohio

A couple of class of 2016 Ohio prospects also made recruiting news this weekend when AAU teammates Roderick Caldwell and Jalen Tate both received their first Division I offers. Caldwell, who recently transferred into Huber Heights Wayne in the Dayton suburbs to run the point guard position for a very talented team, received his offer from Miami (OH). The Redhawks had been monitoring Caldwell for some time now, and decided to extend scholarship offers to two point guards in the former, as well as Perry County (KY) lead guard Braxton Beverly. Tate, on the other hand, received his offer from Kent State, as the Golden Flashes seem to have a good feeling about the versatile wing from Pickerington Central. The Columbus area junior finished off strong in the AAU season with All-Ohio Red, even manning some of the point guard duties at times, as Caldwell sat out much of July with a wrist injury.

This kid is super talented. Would be a huge addition to our 2016 class, and hopefully get more kids to join him.

I watched him play last night at Flyin' to the Hoops as his Dayton Wayne Warriors upset the #1 ranked team in the nation, Findley Prep out of Las Vegas. He led Wayne in scoring with 18. This was a game in which all 10 starters on both teams are divison 1 recruits, plus all the guys on Findlay Preps bench. Caldwell was the leading scorer for Wayne with 18, he was going up against a pair of guards who were ranked in the top 50 players in the country. I thought he was the best player in the game. He only missed one shot, he took care of the ball against great pressure, he is a true point guard and very quick, and he would fit Coach Coopers style of play perfectly.

We have also offered his teammate Tre Landers, who was the second leading scorer for Wayne and made a couple of jaw dropping spectacular dunks.

Flying to the Hoop Day 4 quote:

Quote:
Rodrick Caldwell, PG, Wayne – In the first half it was Caldwell that was the best player on the floor against Findlay Prep. Caldwell was making every shot he took, and absolutely was in control. While he was hot from deep, he also didn’t force things and got others involved. They don’t get much tougher than Caldwell who did a lot to impress the coaches in attendance.

I'd have to agree.. of the offers out now I'd say Caldwell, Beverly, Carson Williams, Harper, and Jason Carter are top priority/realistic options.

Doesn't hurt to have more than 2 PG's and build some depth with Braxton and ZM.... interested to see how this plays out
