Razorback AD with local roots outshines Ohio State & Penn State counterparts

i didn't realize Jeff Long had coached at Miami.

another senior and devoted Miamian at Arkansas is Mike Macechko, Executive Director and Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement
and the Alumni Association (son Mark works in Miami alumni affairs)

Petrino is an idiot. Everyone knows you keep your work and your mistress separate.

Mark was an RA in my freshman hall. I was his brother's (Mike) RA during the 2nd half of his freshman year. You'll have a harder time finding 2 more diehard Miami and Arkansas fans than them. 2 really good guys.

Long, an OWU grad, was a graduate assistant football coach at Miami and earned his master’s in education at Miami in 1983.

I have to admit, I find it a little funny when a known liar with few morals is hired....and then fired because he's a liar with few morals.

John L. Smith hired on 1 year deal:

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7846339/arkansas-razorbacks-bring-back-coach-john-l-smith-1-year-deal

Smith seemed to always lose control during a game...a bit surprised at this hire.

Arkansas deserves the mess they're getting themselves into with this hire. What is completely crappy and adds John L Douch into the deposed Marshall Head Coach Bobby Pruett Hall of Fame is he just signed that contract to be the HC at Weber State, now they have to start all over. Crap move on all parts. The only one getting really hosed in this are the Weber players, and coaches who are on staff there with no head coach.

Weber State fans thoughts on the subject matter

If you haven't ever donated $5 to the PayPal account on the front page to help keep this site afloat, take a look at that Weber State fan site and please consider how good we've got it.

Legal eagles, could Sean Payton have been allowed to take the Arkansas gig for a year?

And I believe that Smith is a Weber State alum...class act! But can you blame a guy for pooping on The Big Sky for one year in the SEC with a really good team???
