|
| Happy GBD to all! My little brother is a sophomore and just texted to tell me about the 10 kegs of green Keystone his fraternity house has lined up. For those participating in the festivities, have fun and be safe! And when you get the munchies, go buy some puppy chow from the band kids at the Phi Delt Gates. |

| Keystone!? Tell him to enjoy it now. Once you get a real job, you should never buy such terrible cheap beer. |

Before the Notre Dame game, some friends and I swung by Skippers and they were doing beat the clock. We decided what the hell, $2 pitchers let's do it! 9 months removed from that crap we could barley get down a cup each. Brutal.... |

Do we even have any current students on this board?
I can't believe it's already been five years since my last GBD. _________________ "Before the game, all I heard was...boy, this and that!" |

After dropping off one of my animals at the vet for surgery, I drove down High Street at about 8:00 am.
Because it is unusually warm today, there are a lot of students in the outside patios of Skippers, Brick Street, 45 East and The Woods.
They are also jaywalking/spilling across the streets between those 4 areas - the rest of the town was fairly quiet except for about 20 students at UDF buying coffee & donuts. _________________ "Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

I passionately believe that Keystone is the WORST option, even among the many terrible options. But... I can't argue with the 10 kegs part!
As to the early GBD date, the University calendar shifted one week up a few years ago, so St. Patty's Day has been falling in the week after Spring Break. However, I believe the calendar shifts back to normal in the coming years. |

Tru dat. Busch Light has always been my cheap beer preference out of kegs. Keystone is tied for beast as worst in my book. |

Blasphemy! PBR is the class of cheap beer. I'll take Beast over Keystone any day. |

Wasn't it 5 cents from 5:30 to 6:30, then 10 cents, then 15 cents, etc.? _________________ And the days that I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations

I believe so. IIRC, it increased 5 cents per hour. Everything after the 15 cent level is a blur to me. |

$2 for a 16oz maybe? Could be less.
I just handed over the $20's and took whatever I got back. |

It's been 6 years since my last official GBD (highlighted by the infamous pizza incident of '06). But, on the plus side, I just finished my one green beer, so I'm up to 6 straight years of continuing the tradition at my kitchen table. _________________ "We will shoot for perfection... but nobody's perfect. I seem to recall getting 12oz cups for $1, but that recollection is far from clear. |
