Which quarterback on a highly rated team has to do the most to cover up for his team's defense: Brady, Rodgers, Brees, or RGIII? I would say:
1a) RGIII
1b) Brady
2) Brees
3) Rodgers
No doubt he deserved the Heisman, in my mind. I will say, the rushing attack has been the star in this one for the Bears. |

I'd agree. RGIII, with Brady an extremely close second. _________________ "We will shoot for perfection... but nobody's perfect. But we'll shoot for perfection and we'll settle for excellence."

A defensive stop! Baylor's D is a brick wall! _________________ "We will shoot for perfection... but nobody's perfect. But we'll shoot for perfection and we'll settle for excellence."

| Whew! I was worried the scoring was over. I fully expect a Washington TD to answer and then a decisive onside kick. |

All this offense and scoring is really annoying Spielman. |

Dang. Only one team hit 60. And Spielman really was getting pissed about the terrible defenses. He wasn't even trying to hide his disdain after Ganaway's fifth TD. _________________ "We will shoot for perfection... but nobody's perfect. some will say, at the end of the season, that this was the best of the bowl games. I disagree. It's the worst. It was a 7-on-7 drill and not football. I am sure the ratings will be spectacular for it. _________________ Season ticket holder football and hockey since 1995

Is it better or worse than a 9-6 FG contest?
Spielman's one of my favorite analysts in games for that reason. Though his candidness will likely keep him from the big games. |

No doubt he was pissed. Several years into retirement and the guy still has the fire that made him a great defensive player. I'd love to see what he could do as a coach at the college level. |

I liked Spencer Hall's take:
| Quote: | | 10. That was more fun than a 9-6 game. It's not better football, but we can think of lots of things which are formally superior but experientially inferior as products. We know All The Pretty Horses is a better written book than most, but would we choose it over World War Z for entertainment? Hell no. Yes, one is clearly better football, but does that make it more fun? Pile the guilt we're supposed to feel over there. We will ignore it and say that yes, once in a while a negligent pair of defenses and a fast track underneath an outsized equipment shed in Texas IS better than watching Nick Saban and Les Miles hold a contest to see who farts first. |

Hey no problem. It's fun to watch. Sometimes you want to read a work of literature. Sometimes you want to read "a book." _________________ Season ticket holder football and hockey since 1995
