| what a horrible tragedy for both victims, and for Brendan who had so bravely faced the public this past year. Deepest sympathies to the Burke family. RIP Brendan. |

Wow, having known Brendan since his freshman year, this is very tough...great kid, stood up for himself and others like him, a true pioneer. RIP buddy

I don't know what to say other than I offer my condolences to Brendan's family and friends.
I never got a chance to meet Brendan, but still he was such an inspiration. I remember when I first read the ESPN article about him, I sent it to just about everyone I know because he was just the perfect example of a Miami man, a member of a Brotherhood that had become the face of Miami athletics.
I'm at a loss for words, really. My thoughts are with the Burke family. |

I'll just say that I'm saddened by the loss of a member of the Brotherhood, a Miamian, and an inspirational young man.

| Shocking and sad. I'm wondering what will take place at this evening's game - maybe a moment of silence, etc. Certainly a difficult, emotional time for the team and others close to Brendan. |
