Colleges grouped by average family income of students (From <10K/yr to >100K/yr). The average Miami student comes from a family making more than 100K/yr, FWIW.

Haven't visited, but it's supposed to be one of the best small science/engineering schools in the country. It's part of the Claremont colleges consortium -- five great little liberal arts colleges out in Southern California with some elements of common administration. A good friend of mine graduated from Pomona (another Claremont college) and swears by the place.

Totally shocking news. And here I thought all those SUV's, BMWs etc I see on campus now were bought with food stamps!! Laughing

I don't think that list tells much unless it is broken out above $100K. I've been on quite a few of the campuses in that group and for every BMW campus, there are quite a few Yugos.

to be fair, where a lot of miami students come from, $100k doesnt go as far as in other places

Other notable schools on that list are Ohio State, UC and Xavier. As far as I could tell Miami was the only MAC school.
