If every non-BCS conference would implement such a rule, the result would be that we WILL see Texas and LSU and in our stadiums. This will make 2-1 deals much more likely because we all know the BCS schools won't schedule each other non-conference. _________________ Having a smoking section in a room is like having a peeing section in a pool. |

Maybe some of the legal types can weigh in on whether the non-BCS conferences could organize such a boycott without any collusion ramifications. As fewer teams agree to one-and-done body bag games, I'd have to believe that (good old supply and demand) the payouts would increase for those games.
A concerted and enforced boycott on the conference level is the only way it could work because all too many teams rely on those games to keep their athletic programs in the black. |
